The field of end-user development (EUD) is concerned with providing appropriate methods, techniques, tools, social structures, and development processes that are highly usable, quickly learned, and easily integrated into domain practice. EUD empowers users of software systems, who are acting as non-professional software developers, to create, modify, and/or extend software in a wide range of domains. Our contributions in this research line have been primarily in EUD for cyber-physical systems such as robots and drones. We use constructive and empirical research methods to develop and evaluate new languages, techniques, and tools to support both end-user programming and end-user software engineering in these domains.
